What this site collects

Almost nothing. This site has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising, no analytics, and no cookies. Everything on it, including its fonts and images, is served from this site itself, so loading a page doesn’t send your information to other companies. Links to our apps and app stores take you to those sites only when you click them.

Our web host

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives your IP address and basic technical details, such as your browser type and the page you asked for, when your browser loads a page. GitHub may keep this in server logs for security and operations. We don’t receive those logs or use them to identify visitors. GitHub describes how it handles this information in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

When you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. We don’t add you to a mailing list. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. Because nothing here is sold or shared, there is nothing to opt out of, but we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request all the same.

Children

This is a general-audience company website. It isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through it.

BookBright is used by children under 13 through a parent’s account. How BookBright handles children’s information, as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), is explained in the BookBright Privacy Policy and COPPA Notice.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, and to have it deleted. We honor these requests from everyone, wherever you live.

Email contact@nextchapterapps.com and we’ll respond within 45 days. We may ask for enough information to confirm the request is really from you, and we’ll use it only for that. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.

How we protect information

The best protection is not having the data in the first place, so we keep very little. What we do keep, mostly email, sits in secured accounts that only the people who need it can open. No system is perfectly secure, but there is not much here to lose.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
